In most cases, yes — insurance plans typically require a referral from your primary care physician. However, we can also accept self-referrals in urgent situations. Call our office and we'll walk you through what's needed.

For many procedures, laparoscopic or robotic-assisted techniques are the standard of care and offer faster recovery, less pain, and smaller scars. During your consultation, we'll discuss whether minimally invasive surgery is right for your specific condition.

Preparation varies by procedure, but we provide detailed written instructions covering fasting, medication adjustments, and what to expect on the day of surgery. You'll also have the chance to ask questions during your pre-op visit so nothing catches you off guard.

Recovery is individual, but we create a personalized plan tailored to your procedure and health status. Most minimally invasive procedures allow a return to light activities within a few days and fuller activity within 1–2 weeks. We'll be in touch after surgery to check on your progress.
